We cannot control how publishers and writers use the information they exchange while using this system. Our services are free to use, and we do not collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), except as may be neccessary should you initiate the purchase of the stand-alone Submission Manager product which allows you to manage an instance of a submission manager system on your own website. In such a case, sensitive information is collected while you are securely involved in an encrypted session, and all credit card data is destroyed once it is processed. We do not save credit card data. This is the same type of PCI Compliance to Internet Safety you experience when you engage in online banking.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
